I wanted to join SAC since my foundation year, however the club was full at 2013 until it was opened for registration again by August 2014. As the club is looking for committed and active members, therefore we have to get through Sky Adventure Club's Recruitment Process in order to join SAC. The process is divided into three stages:
Stage 1 : Adventure Hunt
Stage 2 : Get-to-know Session
Stage 3 : Probation
After made it through the first and second stage of recruitment process, I'm so happy that I'm in the probation period with other 36 recruits.
This Orientation Camp which is organized every batch of recruitment is intended for the succeed recruits to get know of each other and the current members. I have to say that this is the first and best camp I have been. I was a teammate of lunch group for this camp, the planning and the execution of lunch preperation was truly a good one because no one ever had cooking spaghetti in camp which was what we have successfully did. What a glorious meal in camp! If I could sum up my two major adventure during this camp, it would definitely be the jungle trekking and the cascading waterfall. During the hike, we venture beyond level 4 (140m) where the concrete steps end and the trail becomes slightly more difficult. With a little more effort we reached the highest waterfall (level 7 - 208m) within an hour from the starting point. It is certainly worth the effort as the more spectacular falls are at levels 6 and 7.
During the camp, I was always being quiet because I am kind of socially awkward person. However, I'm happy that the people around me aprroach me, try to talk to me and understand me. I was also surprised that this camp has developed my interest towards hiking. Nothing beats having adventure with bunch of fun, brave, independent and considerate people.
Till then. "Let us dare!" - SAC's motto.
