It also covers the teaching and understanding of four main topics in civil engineering works and five main topics in building service works which consist of :
Civil Engineering Works:
1. Retaining Earth Wall
2. Concrete works (Prestress)
3. Railway
4. Earthwork- Sediment Basin
Building Service Works:
1. Electrical Service
2. Cold Water Plumbing
3. Sanitary Plumbing
4. Fire Protection

Taylor's Graduate Capabilities
1) Discipline Specific Knowledge
In this module, we were required to put theories that we have learnt during the lectures and tutorials into practice as we are required to interpret the clauses in the Standard Method of Measurement ( SMM ) and MyCESMM for the various trades in relation to the measurement of building services and civil engineering quantities.
2) Thinking and Problem Solving Skills
Upon completing the subject, I have better understanding on how QS measure building services and civil engineering works. These are the common structure or services that we can see in our everyday life, and to measure these things accurately it is essential for us to equip ourselves with basic knowledge on how these things function and relate the measurement to the sequence of the work.
