Taylor's Graduate Capabilities
1) Discipline Specific Knowledge
Following Professional Practice 1 in Semester 4, PP2 provides us insights on how to deal with construction disputes and claims, in line with PAM 2006. I understand better and able to relate all the knowledge to the real work after going through a six-months internship which had allowed me to get a hands-on experience of preparing interim certificates, valuating variation order and preparing final accounts.
2) Thinking and Problem Solving Skills
During lectures and tutorials when lecturer or coursemates randomly throw up some relevant questions, I was put into a situation thinking if I am a Quantity Surveyor, what is the best action would I possibly take in order to reach consensus from two disputing parties.
