Absolutely happy to have Mr. Leong Boon Tik as one of our lecture. He does not only provide lecture regarding the module, but also share a lot of incidences happen in the real world and how the people manage the situation. This is what make his lecture interesting yet informative one.
Through this subject, we are provided with an introduction to services that are commonly provided in a building, primarily cold water treatment and supply, sewerage disposal and treatment, storm water management, telecommunication services and ventilation systems. Students are also made familiar with basics requirements, Uniform Building ByLaw (UBBL), planning, coordination and installation of these services.
Throughout this module, I have practiced Discipline Specific Knowledge. Accumulating all the knowledges I've learnt, I was taught to put theories into practices, such as exams and assignments.
I always understand that Lifelong Learning is an essential part of life. Other than paying attention in the measurement lecture, I've also made my own revision after class to gain more insights about the topic. By concentrating in class, attending the tutorial classes, having an experienced lecturer that passionate in educating his students, in addition with my eagerness to learn indepently, I am able to locate, extract, synthesise and utilise information effectively.
Similar to other classes, Building Service 1 always have us to squeeze our brain when we attempt to understand how the services work. Thus, I believe our Thinking and Problem Solving Skills will increase over years upon graduation and prepare us to the real life world.
